Fresh and frozen chemical and antibiotic free meats including beef, elk, rabbit, pork, lamb and goat. Trowlesworthy Farms is a family farm run by Jim and Wilma Sturgeon. Jim's grandfather homesteaded the land in 1895 and it has been in the family ever since. We have operated the farm since taking over from Jim's parents in 1974 - we are both former teachers. Besides farming, we pastor a small church, operate a farm supply house and are involved in a meat processing plant. In farming, we have started using crop rotations with hay instead of using chemical fertilizers or weed sprays. We try to produce the best possible tasting meat by using a mixture of barley, oats and hay for the animals.
